In the original design, the wheels did not retract. However, in 1935, the painted wheels were modified and made retractable.

In 1936,American Gyro sold the plans for the AG-4 Crusader to the Timm Aircraft Company, which proposed to build a retractable-gear AG-7. However, financing problems prevented any further development and/or production.

The only existing AG-4 was dismantled circa 1941 and stored in a hangar in Van Nuys, California. Unfortunately, the plane was destroyed in a hangar fire.

The F.25 was based upon the design of the Difoga 421 aircraft, home-built and -designed secretly during the World War II by Frits Diepen. But  the newly built aircraft could not compete in cost with the thousands of surplus aircraft on the market in the years following the war. Less than 25 were ever built and not more than a hand-full still remain today.

1 Bombardier Rotax 447 40bhp

Wing Span

32'11"

Plane Length

Additional Information:

The Streak Shadow has been developed from the award winning series produced Shadow Microlight.   Categorised as a homebuilt amateur produced aircraft it is designated as a 'Ultralight' in Europe and 'Experimental' in the U.S. The new design of wing coupled with light airframe weight and the powerful engine gives this aircraft OUTSTANDING performance.  Staggering acceleration and exhilarating sustained climb rates are combined with 100 mph hands off cruise.   CFM's new wing retains the inherant saftey with its aerodynamics of no 'defined' stall and is very spin resistant.   With a total fuel capacity of 12 imperial gallons (14.4  U.S. Galls) and endurance of approximately five and a half hours at economic cruise a range of about 400 statute miles is normal.  (from http://www.davidcookaviator.com/david-cook/photo-album/streak.html)

2 C6S-4 Menasco Unitwin

Wing Span

45'

Plane Length

Additional Information:

The Vega was to design an attractive small "feederline" transport around this double engine. The resulting Starliner had a mixed construction air-frame with a typical Lockheed tapered wing with split flaps, a side-door cabin a pilot and five passengers. In 1940 the project was abandoned, the Starliner was too small to appeal to the airlines, and too large for most private customers. Version 2.0 is out now
